| NHL-students promote their renewed university | 05-03-2010 | One of the largest colleges in the North of the Netherlands has a new building, a new visual identity and a new name: NHL University of Applied Sciences. The new campaign style for In-house-days focuses on the personal approach of the university and on the students. In the campaign, students 'wear' their new university. The photoseries shows students, simply taken from the campus, wearing shirts with messages in the colors that differ per study. This first In-house-day in the new style drew 48% more visitors than in March last year.

| Achmea and Getronics are nominated for a DME Award | 12-10-2009 | Both Achmea and Getronics have been nominated for a prestigious Design Management Europe (DME) Award. Both businesses have been selected for the ‘large companies’ category. It is rare for two clients of the same design agency to be nominated in the same category at the same time. The DME Awards are an EC initiative. The objective of the DME Awards is to promote innovation by means of good design management and in turn, to promote the competitiveness of European businesses. The DME Awards were set up three years ago. The previous awards in the ‘large companies’ category went to Virgin Atlantic, Kärcher and Roca in 2007, and Loewe in 2008.

| Koeweiden Postma wins two prizes at European Design Awards | 20-05-2009 | Amsterdam, 20 mei 2009 - Koeweiden Postma has won two prizes at the European Design Awards in Zürich. In the category visual identitity, Koeweiden Postma won a Silver Award for Getronics. In the same category they won a Bronze Award for ASVZ. Getronics is the largest ICT service-provider in the Benelux and a leading provider in the world. ASVZ is an organization for care and service for people with mental restrictions. During the 3 day conference, which preceded the ceremony, Koeweiden Postma spoke on behalf of the Netherlands. Yvo de Ruiter and Alef de Jong talked about the differences between Swiss and Dutch design and about the roll intuition has in design and communication. | Koeweiden Postma develops new identity Muziektheater | 11-12-2008 | After an extensive agency oriënation the Amsterdam operahouse Het Muziektheater Amsterdam has chosen Koeweiden Postma to develop a new visual identity. With the new identity Het Muziekthater Amsterdam wants to strengthen both nationally and internationally its profile as a stage for art of the highest level. Since the opening in 1986, Het Muziektheater is the theatre of residence for De Nederlandse Opera (The Netherlands Opera) and Het Nationale Ballet (the Dutch National Ballet). Besides performances of these companies, Het Muziektheater programmes guest performances by leading companies and productions from around the world as well. The theatre receives 266.000 visitors a year.

| Indian designer Rajesh Dahiya visits Koeweiden Postma | 29-10-2008 | Amsterdam, 28 October 2008 - The Indian designer Rajesh Dahiya, founder of CoDesign in New Delhi, will be in the Netherlands next week on invitation of Because of Koeweiden Postma. The invitation originates from the exchange programm Welcom to my Studio of the Graphich Design Museum, Breda and the Dutch Association of Designers BNO. The programm will close on November 7th with a seminar in Breda. Welcome to my Studio, that from now on will be held every three months, each time gives a Dutch designer or studio the chance to invite a foreign colleague. During three days different (public) activities are organized. Rajesh Dahiya will be our guest at the studio on November 5th. On Thursday November 6th he will take part in a forum of the department Modern Typography and Graphic Design of the University of Amsterdam and GRADE, a network of design historians. During this forum the relation between European and Asian culture and identities will be discussed. On Friday 7th a masterclass for students will be held in Breda with Dihaya, Jacques Koeweiden and Iranian designer Reza Abedini (Lava). | Moving logo for Getronics | 16-10-2008 | Yesterday the new logo of Getronics was launched in Utrecht. The new visual identity has been developed by Koeweiden Postma. Getronics is the largest ICT service-provider in the Benelux and a leading provider in the world. With the combination of ICT and telecommunications following the takeover by KPN the company has taken a step into the future.
This lead is expressed in the new identy. Back and forth flashing information streams in different colours represent the possibilities of the digital world: flexibility and a constant exchange of information. Where possible, the new logo will be used as a moving animation. The coloured data streams from the logo play an important role in the overall identity as well and add to the recognizability of Getronics. For more see under portfolio

| HEMA identity nominated for DDA | 15-09-2008 | After the Silver Lamp from the ADCN, the new HEMA identity now has the chance to be awarded a Dutch Design Award too. Koeweiden Postma and HEMA are nominated in the Brand & Strategy category and strive together with the campaign for Electric Tiger Land by Amsterdam Worldwide for the prize in the category. The DDA ceremony will be held on October 18th. Last year the Dutch Design Awards still were called the Nederlandse Designprijzen in Dutch. Because of the growing popularity and export value of Dutch Design, the organisatien has choosen for a more international positioning. This is reflected in this years jury system, in which an international jury determines the winners. In other words: Dutch Design through foreign eyes.

| ASVZ: colourful, simple and personal | 15-08-2008 | Koeweiden Postma developed a new visual identity for ASVZ, an organization for care and service for people with mental restrictions. The new style is colourful, simple and above all personal. The identity thus reflects the objective of ASVZ to support her clients as much as possible in their personal development.
Special feature in this style is the way in which clients of ASVZ are shown, something that is very exceptional in the world of care. They are presented with pride in a colourful style that is selfconscious and modern. | Five anniversary stamps on one sheet | 23-05-2008 | For Dutch postal service TNT Post Koeweiden Postma designed a sheet with five dfferent anniversary stamps. The stamps mark the anniversaries of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (200 years), book chain Bruna (140 years), Royal Dutch Touring Club (ANWB, 125 years), the NYSE AEX stock exchange index (25 years) and the European Central Bank and the Euro-system (10 years). In one comprehensive illustration the different stamps reflect the key values of the five organizations. The entire sheet presents the five organizations within the context of society, in which each plays it's own social role. Designer Yvo de Ruiter: 'The sheet symbolizes a city full of life, were everything happens, were celebrations are held and were each time new stories can be found: little jokes, gestures, poetry. It is one colourful, exiting society. Within, the five organizations have their own place, but they have things in common as well. All these organizations have a social relevance.' | Getronics chooses Koeweiden Postma | 15-05-2008 | After an extensive oriëntation, IT services provider Getronics chose Koeweiden Postma for the development of a new logo and a new identity for both Getronics and Getronics Consulting. Koeweiden Postma was chosen from a shortlist which included four other agencies. The choice for Koeweiden Postma was made on the basis of the agency’s creative work and its experience with the development of large international corporate identity projects, like the identity operation for temporary employment company USG People. Getronics is the largest provider of IT services in the Netherlands. Worldwide Getronics has 23.000 employees working in 23 countries.

| Silver Lamp for HEMA identity | 25-04-2008 | Koeweiden Postma received yesterday a Silver Lamp for the restyling of HEMA’s visual identity during the ADCN Annual Awards for Advertising and Design ceremony. HEMA is the Netherland’s most popular variety store. The new identity was developed in cooperation with advertising agency Doom & Dickson. The ADCN Annual Awards for Advertising and Design are known to be the most important creative awards of the Netherlands. In total there were four nominations for work for HEMA. The viral ‘chain reaction’ by CCCP for HEMA was awarded with another Silver Lamp.

| ENECO divisions choose Globrands and Koeweiden Postma | 15-03-2008 | For the development of two new brands the divisions NetManagement and Infra of enegry company ENECO chose after a short oriëntation for the combination of Globrands and Koeweiden Posma. The energy market is in motion following several structural developments, like lberalization and the transition towards renewable energy sources. With two new brands that will replace ENECO NetManagement and ENECO Infra, ENECO wants to profit as much as possible from the possibilities on the energy market. The new brands will be introduced in the course of 2008/2009.

| Because develops new identity for Pal West | 28-02-2008 | Because, Koeweiden Postma's label for social design, was assigned to develop a new identity for Stichting Pal West. This foundation offers youngsters the opportunity to prepare themselves through pratical experience on a career in the fashion industry. Next to a new fashion atelier for young people between 14 and 17 years, Pal West will start a Pal West Fashion Academy in 2008 together with ROC of Amsterdam. Pal West Fashion Atelier is an initiative of Young Designers + Industry and housing corportion Ymere and is supported by Stchting Doen, ROC of Amsterdam, Koers Nieuw West, Chameber of Commerce Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts. | Cause/affect award for Hortus | 05-12-2007 | The poster campaign for the Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam was awarded the second prize in the category Arts at the cause/affect awards in San Fransisco. Cause/affect is a biennial graphic design competition which celebrates the work of designers and organizations who set out to positively impact our society. The award scheme has been initiated by the American professional organisation for design AIGA in San Fransisco. For the first edition work could be entered from the period 2000-2007.

| Police report named Best Designed | 18-11-2007 | 'After image', the annual report 2005 of the Police Gooi en Vechtstreek last Saturday has been announced to be one of the nine Best Designed Annual Reports of the past year. The jury all together judged 124 annual reports. The jury wrote about Afterimage: 'It doesn't mention it in capitals, but this clearly is the report of an organisation that stands in the middle of society and that accomplishes an important task. The report of the Police Gooi and Vechtstreek - or at least the book that replaces the annual report - forces one to read it and enforces respect. That is done with a previously tested concept: a journalistic approach with photo-reportages and short and clear texts, and with a succinct and apt lay-out and typography.' The election of the Best Designed Annual Reports is organized annualy by the Grafische Cultuurstichting. Selected annual reports are added to the collection Rare and Valuable Works of the Library of the University of Amsterdam.

| Koeweiden Postma nominated for Dutch Design Prize | 01-10-2007 | The visual identity for the Amsterdam center for islamic culture Marhaba has been nominated for a Dutch Design Prize in the category Visual identity. The Marhaba identity puts islamic decorative elements in an actual (design) context. Also the new HEMA-identity has been nominated for the Design for All Prize. The Dutch Design Prizes announced on October 20th in Eindhoven.

| Koeweiden Postma in race for Dutch government logo | 20-09-2007 | Koeweiden Postma is one of five design agencies reached the second phase in the tender for one logo for all national gouvernment bodies. The other four agencies are Thonik, Eden Design, Studio Dumbar and Total Identity. Apart from Koeweiden Postma these are all the same agencies that last year were selected for the same assignment. That previous tender was hampered by the early fall of the third Balkenende gouvernment. Koeweiden Postma at the time didn't contest. The assignment concerns the design of one logo and housestyle for the entire national gouvernment. By the end of November it will be known which agency seizes the assignment.

| Koeweiden Postma has a new site | 14-09-2007 | Koeweiden Postma today launches its new website. The site shows the work of the design agency mostly in the context of its use. New items are also the agency's weblog and the possibility for clients and press to download different items. The site will be completed and optimalized during the next weeks.

| Two logo's in Eulda | 11-09-2007 | The logo's for the Ramadan Festival and Start People have been selected for the European Logo Design Annual (Eulda). The threefold jury (designers, clients, public) viewed almost a thousand entries from 33 countries. Finally 201 logo's were selected for the annual. From the Netherlands 14 logo's from 10 agencies are selected. The Eulda book will be published by the end of November.

| Koeweiden Postma develops new logo and visual identity for the municipality of Velsen | 07-10-2010 | Koeweiden Postma will develop a new logo and visual identity for the municipality of Velsen. De municipality consists out of seven cores, among others Ijmuiden, Santpoort and Driehuis. Also part of Velsen's territory is Corus (Tata steel), recreational area Spaarnwoude and famous dance festival Dance Valley. Leonie van der linderen, project manager of the municipality of Velsen: "Our shared ambitions became desicive in our choice for Koeweiden Postma. Ambition, enthusiasm and involvement were convincingly conveyed, for example during an illustration of their pitch proposal for the Dutch Government."

| Koeweiden Postma develops new brand identity for Nederlands Dans Theater | 30-09-2010 | Koeweiden Postma will design the new brand strategy for one of the worlds leading modern dance companies. The commission involves the development of a new corporate identity and various brand identities. An agency pitch was held prior to choosing Koeweiden Postma. Marketing and Communication Manager Margaret Bark clarifies: “This agency does not only work for leading cultural clients such as the Amsterdam Music Theatre, De Doelen and the Van Gogh museum, but also for large corporate clients like HEMA, Nationale Nederlanden and KPN. That specific mix is exceptional and very important to us.”

| Van Gogh Museum enlists Koeweiden Postma | 18-11-2009 | Following a meticulous selection procedure, the Van Gogh Museum has chosen to award a two-year collaboration agreement to Koeweiden Postma. We are asked to develop a recognisable visual style for the museum, to be used for everything from the museum’s printed and digital publications to the design of exhibitions, promotional items and employee uniforms. The selection procedure lasted for three months. In the final selection round, four agencies were still in the running. Koeweiden Postma was then unanimously chosen by the Van Gogh Museum as the right candidate for the job. The Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam is one top attractions of Amsterdam and welcomes 1.3 million visitors every year.

| Designyatra India 2009 | 11-09-2009 | On the 5th of September Koeweiden Postma gave a lecture and several workshops during the Designyartra in Mumbay. Among other speakers were Ross Lovegroove, MDRDV, Designpolitie, Wally Ollins and Rodney Fitch. The four-day congress has been visited by 1.500 designers, advertising agencies and potential clients. The theme of Koeweiden Postma's lecture was 'challenging expectations'. Hugo van den Bos: ''What we expect is what we already know. Therefore, to make outstanding work, it's inevitable to step into the 'unknown'. The presentation and cases show how Koeweiden Postma takes their clients by the hand through the designprocess and where design can lead to (successes and failures). | New identity for NykampNyboer and VIM-Group | 09-07-2009 | NykampNyboer is the market leader in the Netherlands in house style management. During the past eighteen years, about 700 house styles have been implemented thereby creating a completely new category in the field. The ambition is in fact to achieve this internationally and become a global market leader in the field of Brand Implementation. It is for this reason that the VIM Group was established. The network already includes partners in London, Amsterdam, Toronto, Los Angeles, Dubai, Sydney and Melbourne. The entire VIM Group employs 160 people in total.
Koeweiden Postma was contracted for the development of the new house style and communication style for both NykampNyboer and the VIM Group. For NykampNyboer, the agency took its inspiration from the straightforwardness and confidence which are embedded in the genes and culture of the organisation. The choice was made for a functional grid on a photographic background of elemental materials such as concrete, stone, sand and steel. These backgrounds provide maximum space for presenting the work produced for customers. | HEMA opens in Paris | 29-01-2009 | HEMA opened her first store in France this week. The concept of this shop was specially developed by HEMA for countries where the brand isn't known yet. Koeweiden Postma adjusted HEMA's visual identity for the new international HEMA-stores.
The new store at the Avenue General de Gaulle offers a selection of the well known HEMA-assortment. The presentation of products is completely different from the Dutch shops. Products no longer are grouped by sort, but instead by the moment of use.
Early in 2008 HEMA expressed its ambition to grow in Europe and to search for new markets. With the opening of the store in Paris, HEMA now is present in five countries: France, Luxemburg, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. HEMA wants to expand in all these countries.

| Stedin and Joulz, two new Eneco brands | 17-11-2008 | Stedin and Joulz are two new brands within the Eneco holding. Koeweiden Postma developped new discerning identities for both brands. Stedin is the continuation of Eneco NetBeheer (Netmanagement), Joulz is the new name for Eneco Infra. By dividing in three key brands, Eneco anticipates the coming liberalization of the energy market.
In the Stedin identity an illuminated network during the night, seen from above, reflects the pride of the 400 employees, who are responsible for a reliable electricity and gas network. The visual identity of Joulz in contrast zooms in on a world of flow charts, switch-boxes, and transformer stations. The name and the striking identity are also meant to appeal to young people on the labour market.

The programm is organised by the Dutch Premsela Foundation in cooperation with the Dutch Embassy in Japan. | Alef de Jong strategist at Koeweiden Postma | 25-09-2008 | Koeweiden Postma is reinforced with brand strategist Alef de Jong. Before De Jong worked for brand consultancy Brand Capital were he was responisble for strategic brand consultancy and the development of brand names. De Jong studied Communications management at the NHL University of Applied Sciences in Leeuwarden and Communication Sciences at the University of Twente. He teaches Brand Management at EURIB / European Institute for Brand Management and writes columns for several media. At Koeweiden Postma De Jong will share responsability for strategy and business development.

| New posters Ramadan Festival | 21-08-2008 | Four graphic posters in distinct colours from this week on draw the attention towards the newest edition of the Ramadan Festival in several cities in the Netherlands. Based on the Ramadan Festival icon of a Muslim family, the posters show four families of different cultural backgrounds. The series thus underlines this year’s festival theme: ‘The Ramadan Festival is for everyone’. | EuroCross chooses Koeweiden Postma | 29-05-2008 | Following a creative competition EuroCross International chose Koeweiden Postma for the development of a new logo and a new style of communication. With a network of 50.000 partners, EuroCross is one of the large international alarm help centers of Europe. In the Netherlands more than 8 million insured can rely on the services of EuroCross. The introduction of the new logo and new style is planned for september 2008. EuroCross is part of Achmea/Eureko.

| ED Awards: three Merits for Koeweiden Postma | 19-05-2008 | Koeweiden Postma has been awarded three Merits at the European Design Awards. The communications style for concert hall De Doelen was awarded twice, both in the categories 'Company Implementation' and 'Posters'. The third Merit was for the packaging for HEMA's Cooking & Tableware line.
The European Design Awards Ceremony was held for the second year on May 18th in Stockholm. In total 24 Awards and 83 Merits were awarded in 28 categories to agencies from 18 European countries. The jury consisted of representatives of 12 European design magazines.

| De Doelen posters in Creative Review Annual | 05-05-2008 | The poster series for concert hall De Doelen has been selected for publication in Creative Review’s Annual 2008 presenting the best in visual communication of the past year. The poster series is part of the new communication style developed last year by Koeweiden Postma for the concert hall in Rotterdam.
The English trade magazine for visual communication Creative Review this year publishes its sixth Annual with the highlights of last year’s visual communication, including advertising, graphic design, digital media, illustration and music videos. The more than 100 projects in the Annual were selected by a jury consisting of 12 of Britain’s top creatives and the monthly’s editor in chief. The works were judged on the basis of innovation, originality, craft and fitness for purpose.

| Because designs Study in Holland campaign | 17-04-2008 | Because has been selected after a pitch to develop the new Study in Holland campaign for the Netherlands organization for international cooperation in higher education, Nuffic. The worldwide campaign promotes higher education in the Netherlands. Research shows that foreign students first select a country of destination and secondly choose a specific instuitution or course. Therefore the annual Nuffic campaign 'Study in Holland' is focussed on promotion of the Netherlands as a country for studying with an extensive and high quality offer of courses given in English. The four participating agencies in the pitch were asked to come up with a new, refreshing concept for the campaign that has to incite students to visit the website www.studyin.nl. The campaign will be launched in august.

| ADCN nomination for HEMA | 14-03-2008 | Koeweiden Postma has been nominated by the Art Directors Club Netherlands (ADCN) for HEMA. On April 24 will be disclosed whether this nomination will lead to an award. The ADCN Annual Awards for Advertising and Design are known to be the most important creative awards of the Netherlands. In all HEMA received four nominations this year. Last week the ADCN Annual 2007 was published as well, including HEMA’s Haircare and styling line for which Koeweiden Postma received an Honourable Mention from the Packaging Jury.

| Jorn Dal designer at Koeweiden Postma | 03-01-2008 | Designer Jorn Dal (29) joined Koeweiden Postma on January 1st. The past two years Jorn worked for Ontwerpwerk in The Hague. He studied at the Wilem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and the Royal Academy for Fine Arts in The Hague. At Koeweiden Postma he will strengthen the team of now eight designers.

Apart from commercial and cultural assignments, Koeweiden Postma more and more works as well on projects that stimulate sustainability, integration and social renewal. From now on these assignments and own initiatives will be carried out under the Because label.
'Because aims to connect creativity with social developments. Visual communication can have an important role in this, but in these kind of projects other diciplines are needed as well. That’s why we will seek continuous cooperation with other parties and for that reason we introduced the new name’, says Bas van Lier, director of Because.

| Kinderen van Nu launched | 22-10-2007 | What can a child do to prevent the climate from changing? Why aren’t car free Sundays compulsory? What does Parliament itself to save energy? Why are there still so few solar panels and wind turbines? All questions about climate change children asked yesterday at four policy makers from local and national gouvernment and industry during a first activity of Kinderen van Nu (Children of Today).
Kinderen van Nu is is a joint project of Koeweiden Postma’s Because and Nieuwe Maan Communicatie Adviesgroep on assignment of the interdepartemental programm ‘Leren voor Duurzame Ontwikkeling’ (Learning for Sustainable Development). Kinderen van Nu allows children to question politicians, policy makers, captains of industry and well known people about sustainability.
The style of Kinderen van Nu, developped by Koeweiden Postma, evokes associations with a political party or action group. The logo shows an itchy question mark, symbol for the provocating questions children can pose. See also: Kinderen van Nu
